Abstract

Rough set theory is a data mining and uncertain knowledge discovery mathematical tool used to extract meaningful and human understandable decision rules from data with incomplete values. The main objective of this paper is to study all applications of rough set theory in data mining approach. Rough set theory is widely used in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Sciences. Especially in Machine Learning, Rough set theory is a mathematical tool for imperfect data analysis. Rough set theory is applied in many fields such as medicine, image processing, medical informatics, pattern recognition, intelligent agents, control theory, classification and expert systems. In this paper, the researcher focuses on some key points of rough set theory in different domains.
